Constructed of bronze, the obverse consisting of a central oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a pair of crossed swords, overlaid by a U Boat situated over a hollow void, flanked on each side by six oak leaves, the reverse with a barrel hinge and horizontal pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 77. 44 mm (w) x 23. 83 mm (h), weighing 25. 7 grams, an early veterans piece produced c. 1965 in
