This is absolutely original great example of an early 20th century Royal Navy Peaked cap. The spiral sewn lining to the hat's interior dates it to the First World War or just before. It is in its Summer issue form in that it retains the White summer Hat Cover worn over the Dark Blue Hat, which is displayed in the winter months. It comes complete with its patent leather chin strap and bears the correct British Officer's Gold
