Constructed of a silvered metal alloy with multi coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of a second pattern Deutsches Luftsportverband (German Air Sports Association DLV) insignia in the form of a circular red enameled ring bearing a central black enameled mobile swastika overlaying a winged propeller, the reverse retaining both attachment prongs, maker marked WILH. DEUMER, LDENSCHEID, measuring
