Germany, Wehrmacht. A Wound Badge In Black certificate_of_authenticity until apprehended by the Military(Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz). Constructed of blackened bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel wreath, with a central Stahlhelm (Steel Helmet) overlaid by a mobile swastika, on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 37. 03 mm (w) x 44. 40 mm (h), weighing 13. 4 grams, in very fine condition.
