Constructed of silvered bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with a rightward facing profile of Ernst I, the reverse with an inscription of ERNST HERZOG VON SACHSEN ALTENBURG and a date of 3. AUGUST 1903, unmarked, measuring 32. 66 mm in diameter, weighing 16. 3 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in extremely fine condition.
