In silver, obverse centre shows three crowns around inscription KING AND FATHERLAND, reverse inscription reads For the Soldiers Merit, inclusive of crown suspension 44. 8 mm (h) x 31. 2 mm (w), on original yellow ribbon, very fine condition. Housed in case from a French maker, extremely fine condition. Footnote: The Order of the Sword was instituted on 23 February 1748 by King Frederick I. It was conferred upon Swedish military
