A very rare Sword carried by a fellow Regimental Officer of the 1870s
but light enough to be carried and used by general infantrymen
The hilt is fitted to the blade with a gold metal fitting beautifully decorated and inlaid with what appear to be Red
though there is wear and some fraying at the edges
