This is a truly magnificent example of a "Combination Gun", which is double barrel gun where one side is a rifle, and the other a shotgun. This way the hunter would be prepared for both flying and running game. It appears to be fully Silver or German Silver mounted, complete with some silver inlay around the breech of the barrels. Almost all of the fittings are nicely engraved, including an elaborate patch or nipple
