This is a very good condition, turn of the century pickelhaube style German Fire helmet, with a boiled leather body, brass front plate (wappen), brass central comb, and brass fittings. The central plate has a star with the initials FF under a crown in the center. We could not identify what state or city this wappen represents, a good research project. Full leather lining is still mostly intact with only the top
