An Iron Cross 1914 Patriotic Wall Plaque, C.1915 Auction returning to the 24th InfantryAn iron cross paty constructed of iron with a magnetic core, the obverse is blackened with three raised borders, the centre bears a cipher W for Wilhelm, the 12 oclock arm bears a crown and the 6 oclock arm bears the date 1914, the iron cross is partially encompassed by an open ended laurel wreath tied with a ribbon in the form of a bow at the bottom, the reverse bears the number 181. 3. and the maker mark GES. GESCH., and a loop (for hanging the
