An Order of Leopold II, Commander to Colonel William Frederick Holford Godson, United States Army, c. 1930 United Republic of The Set and sash are(Dutch: Orde van Leopold II, French: Ordre de Lopold II). Instituted in 1900 by King Leopold II. In silver gilt, a Maltese cross with ball finials, and wreath segments between the arms, obverse medallion with a rampant lion on a black enamel field, surrounded by a blue ring inscribed LUNION FAIT LA FORCE, the reverse medallion featuring the cypher of King Leopold, the cross is surmounted by a crown and worn on a segment of original neck ribbon in blue
