The 307th engaged 20 ME-109s on the 27th during a patrol over Anzio
a curious choice since it was almost identical to the Springfield Model 1868 Rifle
and their value as entertainers was commemorated in precious and commonplace objects throughout the Roman world
and still retains the original pull clip

Constructed years ago from a legally demilitarized (de milled) parts set; this is an ALL German WW2 MG42 Display Gun. This nice example comes complete with all German WWII issue parts, and is covered with German issue markings. Included are original front and rear Anti Aircarft sights, only the second set we have had in years! Also included is a post war repainted original basket belt carrier to complete the look.
