The Scabbard (saya) is steel and almost all of the original paint intact
had completely reequipped with Grumman F3F-2s which replaced their F3F-1s and a few even older F2F-1s

Original South Korean Taegukgi Canvas Flag - Vietnam War Era Bring Back - 36" x 47" German Flare Guns Serial number 333687B denotes yearOriginal Item: One of a Kind. This is a very interesting Bring Back flag from South Korea, which we assume was brought home by a serviceman stationed at what is today Commander Fleet Activities Chinhae near Busan, South Korea. The flag looks to have been from a Christian Church School in the Busan area (Spelled "Pusan" on the flag), and gives the names of the Mathematics and English teachers, as well as an "elder". The signatures are all dated 1964,
