The oldest vines date back to 1934, and mostly the original vine stocks remain. There is a brightness to the purple black colour with a vivacity of ripe fruit on the nose. Clearly a much greater density of fruit here, with a succulent ripe cherry note, good acidity as much as tannic structure.
