surrounded by a green enameled laurel wreath with a Portuguese tower on the top
Denmark, Kingdom. An Order Of Dannebrog, Collar, C. 1780 Auction By maker "20" (marked underneath(Dannebrogordenen). Instituted in 1219 by King Valdemar II, and re instituted by King Christian V in 1671. Christian VIII Issue. A bronze gilt cast collar composed of 72 double sided links, 36 portray crosses composed of white enamel with a red wax like material around the edges, alternating between 18 crowned W cyphers for King Valdemar II and 18 crowned C cyphers for King Christian V in alternating directions, each link demonstrates hand engraved
