Constructed of silver with diamonds and enamel, the obverse consisting of a circular oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by initials FAI (Fdration Aronautique Internationale). Topped by three crown shaped appliques, each inset with a genuine diamond, surrounding a blue enameled disc bearing three white gulls, the reverse with a boutonniere attachment, stamped with an issue number of 508
