This could well have been owned by an Officer in either the Boer War or WW1, this is a very smart 20 inch long Riding crop clad in decorative bound brown leather. The wrist loop is unfortunately missing, but inside is housed a 13 1 2" stiletto type blade that can be quickly accessed in an emergency. The blade is clearly engraved: HALL LONDON.
