These were issued by The US Military for the burial of our soldiers who had fallen in battle

from stations in Belgium and Germany

Fortunately someone invented the post WW1 "hooter" and these dreadful devices were gratefully retired

Some P-61 Black Widows remained in service until the 1950s

This is a genuine early United States Naval Boarding Cutlass dated 1861 on the blade ricasso. The reverse has a scroll emblem with the maker name inside: Made by AMES MFG. CO CHICOPEE, MASS. The 26 inch blade is in very good condition, with a bright finish with just a bit of oxidation staining in places. The edge is a bit rough do to some light denting.
