Recessed faces on either side of the aluminum anvil hold the parts securely while you tap the setter with a mallet to flare the post, joining the two components. The tip of the nickel plated steel setter is shaped so it registers reliably on the end of the post, and has a grooved shoulder to flare it neatly. Made in USA. Sets 4 piece line 20
