Obverse: The arms of William Allens family including six Martlets and surmounted by another with legend: WILLIAM ALLEN LONDON * 1795 *. Reverse: Shield of arms of the Cordwainers or Shoemakers Company including three goats heads and surmounted by another with legend: PROMISSORY HALFPENNY. Edge inscription: PAYABLE IN CHANDOS STREET CONVENT GARDEN. Very fine or better.
