Germany, Luftwaffe. A Ground Assault Badge, Period Refurbished Example, by J.E. Hammer & Söhne United Republic of obverse illustrating an Art-Deco style(Erdkampfabzeichen der Luftwaffe). Constructed of silvered and toned zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika while in mid flight, overlaying a stylized cloud from which a lightning bolt emanates and strikes the ground, the reverse with a single visible rivet securing the eagle in position, with a crimped hinge and vertical pinback meeting
