This is a very nice example of a corduroy style wool covered Model 1877 French 2 liter canteen, complete with original cover and full length leather shoulder strap, and an issue cup. Amazingly, the cork stopper is present but the smaller plug is broken off. Overall condition of the canteen and cover is good. We've only had a very few of these canteens, as they are rare and hard to find. There is an intact nametag on
