There is a lot of rusting on the glass itself with aging black spots as well as on the metal clasps
This is a particularly unique piece and I can just imagine the transportation of beautiful hats long ago
The smaller box has a red and gold tole design and the larger box has a gold tole design
It has four sturdy rungs for hanging towels (or whatever you choose) and will sit nicely against a wall

A poster for a pantomime at the Victoria Theatre in London, on January 25th, 1868. I love how it details the scenes of the play.
