This fine rifle is in . 38 40 caliber (marked . 38 WCF on chamber) with a 24" octagonal barrel and full length magazine tube. It also still has traces of the the 38 CAL. marking on the feed block. Features the classic front sight and "semi buckhorn" rear adjustable sight. The serial number is 305215B denoting the year of manufacture as 1889. The engraving on the top of the barrel is clear, with a bit of
