Original native manufactured sun helmet made from rattan that was used by U. S. troops fighting the Japanese from the 15th of September 1944 until the 17th of April 1945. This unique one of a kind hat belonged to: 1ST. LT. JOHN E. FULLER of the 2nd Bn, 31st Infantry Inf Div 1155th Inf. Regt. Beautifully constructed with intricate patterns in different shades of rattan these hats were apparently far superior to the U.
