This is a lovely set of brass mounted flintlock vest pistols from the European Continent, most likely made in Belgium or Germany. They do not have any visible maker or proof marks, so they were lost likely made by a local gunsmith to order for a customer. They have some nice engraving on the metal components, and look to have been made at the turn of the 19th century. Both pistols feature a 3 inch long .
