Connoisseurs appreciate the soft single malts from the distillery, which is one of the few in Scotland that still operates its own malt floors. Balvenie also produces smoky whiskey rather untypical for Scottish Speyside. Balvenie 12 Year Old Sweet Toast of American Oak was first matured in ex bourbon barrels before being re aged
